Event Description
Throughout the workshop, you will work with statistics, maps and plans of Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires and Montevideo in order to come up with innovative ideas through the data collected by the governments of these national capitals.
It will seek to transpolarize and update success stories of smart cities in order to resolve critical issues such as: insecurity, frequent protest marches, informal neighborhoods, and transportation optimization. Advancing and preventing actions, in relation to future legislation, of the personal data obtained on public areas.
The challenges are considerable, sensors and security cameras will not be enough. Through the data recorded based on the social behavior of the masses, the urban morphology must be adapted to achieve cities of the 21st century.

With the purpose of regionally connecting the Southern Cone, two fellowships will be awarded to young information professionals from Uruguay and Chile.
